The Sodus Art Bank
ARTIST'S RESIDENCY 2008
The Residents
In response to changing groups of artists, different artistic directions and their needs, the equipment and physical facilities have an evolving creative life of its own based on the unique combinations of forthcoming residents.

In our review of applicants we try to coordinate artist with facility, process and creative needs.  For example, generally our residents fall into three groups:

  • Those artists desiring to work independently with little or no assistance
  • Those artists desiring to work independently with some instruction and/or critique
  • Those artists desiring instruction, workshops and critiques

Therefore, The Sodus Art Bank experience can be very different from artist to artist depending upon applicant preferences.

Your proposal should include:
    A.  When you would like to start your residency and for how long (see schedule of sessions)

    B.  Your second session choice (if first choice is unavailable).

    C.  What you hope to do, create, explore or make during your stay at the residency.

    D.  Preferred studio/work space for this activity (i.e. inside painting studio, outdoor construction site, quiet room, etc.).

    E.  Materials, equipment or processes needed.

    F.  Any special requests or considerations in studio or accommodations.
